What an exciting year for the National Park Service. As the agency kicks off its centennial celebration, everyone is coming to their year-long party, including two major icons of Made-in-America quality and tradition; Airstream® Trailer and Pendleton® Woolen Mills. The two companies just announced a RV collector’s dream: the Limited Edition 2016 Pendleton® National Park Foundation™ Airstream® Travel Trailer.
Only 100 of these rare Airstream beauties will be manufactured in honor of the National Park Foundation’s 100th Anniversary.
“Airstream founder Wally Byam was an innovator and a lover of the outdoors, who believed in an enduring promise of adventure, new experiences and faraway lands,” said Airstream CEO Bob Wheeler in a press release announcing the new collectible RV. “That same spirit is a cornerstone of the Pendleton brand, and together we are celebrating our national parks.”
Pendleton is older than the National Parks Foundation itself and the company has a deep connection to America’s most magnificent lands. In 1916 Pendleton created its first National Park Blanket in Glacier Stripe. “The parks have remained an important part of our heritage ever since,” said Pendleton vice president of global sales, Bob Christnacht. “We now have ten featured parks highlighted in our blanket collection that honor these great American treasures.”
Pendleton’s brand new National Park Collection of personal apparel and home décor items are prominently featured from floor to ceiling in the new Airstream limited edition trailer. Woodsy, warm and earthy, Pendleton’s classic touch gives the trailer a cozy cabin atmosphere. Each Airstream is decked out with the company’s all-American premium woolen blankets, a dining set, throw pillows, hand towels, and more.
But the woodsy Pendleton décor isn’t the only design element that makes this a rare buy. In addition to all of the premium design elements and craftsmanship Airstream is known for, this 28-foot trailer stands out
